Plages
Guadeloupe prides in 70 km of sandy beaches, among which the most beautiful
is Deshaies, which accounts for the island’s nickname “Karukera” (the island
of beautiful waters). Saint Maarten (36 beaches) and Saint Barthelemy (22
beaches) are a beloved bathing spot for American and European tourists. The
sun is everywhere and at all times, so locals are much more reasonable when
it comes to sunbathing: you will often see them taking a dive, drying in the
sun and heading back to their everyday activities in less than an hour’s
time.[...] |

Sun, beach and idleness
Everyday temperatures in Martinique only rarely descend lower than 20 ° C, and the event makes the news almost every time... Average temperatures move around 27 °C, with peaks of 32 °C and descending only very rarely to below 20 °C, which makes Martinique an excellent sunny destination, especially during Europe’s winter months. Surrounded by magnificent beaches, the island is a perfect place to idle around in the shade of a coconut tree.

| Beaches of Saba There are no beaches
on Saba, the island is not a haven of sandy beaches and palm trees. This
volcano, lost between sky and sea in a whole different experience, with its
own unique advantages, of course: take for example the fact that those nasty
mosquitoes don’t feel at ease on the island. If you are looking for a spot
to sunbathe, try Cove Bay, near the airport (with rocks and a greyish black
sand), or Wells Bay, a place accessible by boat when the tide is low. And if
you still have extra energy to spend, the island is well[...] |

There are not very many beaches and they are almost all located on the same side of the island, on the eastern coast. This is where you can find magnificent white sandy beaches, with hardly anyone on them. You'll be enchanted when you discover Hampstead Beach and its beautiful grove of coconut trees all along the beach with its transparent water.
Turtle Bay Beach (mother turtles come here to lay their eggs peacefully) is for surfers and holiday makers that want to go back home with a deep tan. Postcard red rocks and blue sea!

Beaches of Marie Galante
The island’s astounding beaches are rather busy during the weekend, as Guadeloupeans tend to sail over for a jaunt on Saturdays and Sundays. The coast is a succession of twelve beaches, among which the most famous are Vieux Fort (Massacre Beach) and Folle Anse (near Saint Louis). The beautiful Feuillere Beach offers a splendid view of the island of Dominica, and a quiet and relaxing time out in the shade of its sea grapes.
