How to get There : Guadeloupe

Plane

Links between Paris and Guadeloupe are provided by three scheduled airlines: Corsair, Air Caraibes and Air France. Online reservation is possible on the websites of all three companies.

Reduced fares are sometimes available when booking months in advance. Passenger seats are divided into several reservation categories and prices may vary with differences as high as double price on the same flight for the same services. This is because the airlines often choose to advertise their flights by selling their first 20 seats at[...]

How to get There : Sint Maarten

By plane

Airports

The island disposes of two airports: Juliana, on the Dutch side, welcoming long-haul flights and a few regional ones. Esperance is situated in Grand Case, a small and cute airport, hosting only flights by Air Caraibes and Saint Barth Commuter.

Airport taxes

The sole tax that will be asked of you on the island is on leaving it: you will have to pay 20 $ or 25 €.. Arriving from the mainland there is no way to avoid this tax, as Juliana (Dutch part) is the only airport where long haul flights land. If you[...]

How to get There : Saint Barthelemy

Plane

Long-haul flights can not land in this airport, due to the tiny size of its runway. You will definitely have to change planes on one of the neighbouring islands. From Pointe-a-Pitre (Guadeloupe), you can reach Saint Barth by regular air shuttles operated by Air Caraibes; from Saint Martin you can choose between Winair, Air Caraibes and Saint Barth Commuter.

Air links are ensured with neighbouring Saint Martin, Guadeloupe, Anguilla, Saint Kitts, Nevis, Dominica and the American Virgin Islands (Saint Thomas[...]

How to get There : Dominica

Since the island of Dominica does not have an international airport, you must transit either via Martinique or Guadeloupe. Transportation mentioned below is for departures from these two islands. Do not forget that when leaving you must settle a departure tax of 55 EC$ (15€), payable to customs for departure by boat and a tax of 60 EC$ (17€) when departing by plane. It is better to settle this tax in EC$, but they will let you pay in Euros if you don't have any currency left. Children under the age of 12 years do not pay departure taxes.

By[...]

How to get There : Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

Plane

Reaching the Grenadines is possible in many ways, among which the most interesting one is the possibility of hiring a private jet. As charter companies tend to offer their services at exceedingly high prices with unreliable timetables, it may be a good idea to rent your own plane: if you are a group of friends, the price will be similar and the schedule will be adapted to your needs.

Boat

The most pleasant way of approaching the Grenadines is by sailboat, if you are not in[...]

How to get There : Northern Islands

ANGUILLA

By plane

By Boat If you choose to take the boat from Saint Maarten, you will arrive to the island at Blowing Point. The shuttle boat links Anguilla and Saint Maarten with several departures a day for a return fare of 18$. Taxies are available right in front of the small port, and are perfectly willing to tour the island with you if requested. Anguilla and Saint Barthelemy are connected by small motorboats, arriving to Marigot, to the same quay as the Voyager,[...]

How to get There : Saint Lucia

Saint Lucia has two airports, and both can be reached via public transportation. The largest airport is Hewanorra International Airport Tel: (758) 454 63 55. It is located in the south at Vieux Fort, which is 61 km from Castries. Two coastal roads link it with the rest of the island. George F.L. Charles Airport offers regional service and is only 10 minutes from the town centre of Castries.

Departing from France There is a stopover in Martinique if you are arriving from France. Direct flights are possible from Great[...]

How to get There : Marie Galante

By plane

Marie Galante can be reached by 2 or 3 regular air shuttles per day, by a 20-minute flight from Pointe a Pitre airport to the Airport of Basses in Grand Bourg. Be sure to book in advance, though, as planes are tiny with only 18 places, and baggage restrictions rather high. Heavy luggage can be carried by paying an overcharge, though only when planes are not full.

By boat

2 or 3 shuttles per day, on board fast, comfortable and cheap[...]

How to get There : Les Saintes

Plane
