Dominica is the most mountainous island in the Lesser Antilles. Its abrupt coastline provides very little shelter, it is hardly visited by sailboats, which are often happy just to sail along the magnificent West coast between Martinique and Guadeloupe. One of the most well-known mooring spots in the large bay of Prince Rupert, which shelters Portsmouth, the island's second town, in the north. Boats that enter the bay are quickly surrounded by an armada of motorboats, with young Rastas offering a visit to the Indian river, fruit, or drugs that are more or less soft. But there is also services at the Anchorage near Roseau where you can find Marina services with Pancho Services. Anchorage here is probably a little bit more secure.
