For a stay of less than two weeks, a valid French identity card is accepted. When leaving Dominica by boat, a departure tax of 55 EC$/person (15€) must be paid to customs. If you are leaving by plane, the tax is 60 EC$/person (17€). Children under the age of 12 years are exempt from this tax. Upon arrival : do not forget to complete the immigration papers with your personal information: the name of the place where you are staying and the number of your currently valid passport. These papers will be distributed to you by your shipping line when you check in when leaving the French islands and must be completed before you arrive at the immigration counter at Dominica. For yachtsmen, you must declare your arrival and departure at the port of Roseau (southwest) of the capital, or in the port of Portsmouth (northwest).
