Marie Galante can be reached by 2 or 3 regular air shuttles per day, by a 20-minute flight from Pointe a Pitre airport to the Airport of Basses in Grand Bourg. Be sure to book in advance, though, as planes are tiny with only 18 places, and baggage restrictions rather high. Heavy luggage can be carried by paying an overcharge, though only when planes are not full.

By boat

2 or 3 shuttles per day, on board fast, comfortable and cheap catamarans of 450 places. The crossing is a mere 45 minutes, and the boat arrives to the maritime station of Bergevin in Pointe a Pitre.
