Excursions are not of great difficulty, especially around the route of Trace. Do take certain precautions, however: don’t forget your sun cream and windcheater, and pay attention to slippery roads after a rainy day. Tourist offices will provide you with appropriate maps of the department, featuring excursion and hiking itineraries. Be especially prudent when walking in mountainous regions, and take a guide with you whenever possible. Several associations can help you on this point.
