It is indispensable to book in advance, as planes are small in size and baggage limitations are strict. You are usually permitted to carry heavy baggage on paying a surcharge, though only if the plane is not full. Charter airlinesCharters fly you to practically all the islands: Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Barthelemy, Saint Martin, the Saints, Sainte Lucia, the Grenadines. Check-in times are more flexible than with regular flights, and reservation is also very fast, and in coordination with connecting flights. Planes depart from a small airport next to Lamentin International Airport. Charters are a practical and fast option of travelling between the islands. Boat links between the islands

Note that regular companies often advertise reduced prices if you reserve two weeks beforehand. So do not hesitate to book from home, especially if you are travelling in the high season, as available boats may be scarce in this period.
