Walking is a pleasant activity, but do take adequate precautions when exposing yourself to the scorching sun. Never forget to bring a bottle of water, and do your best to start your trek early in the day when the heat is more supportable. The most popular excursion is the 15-minute walk from Petite Anse to the bay of Colombier, accessible only on foot or by boat. Another option is to climb the 281-metre high Mount Vitet, or to tour the point of Toiny. Saint Barth’s tourist office will provide you with a brochure containing all possible itineraries for a walking tour.
