Reaching the Grenadines is possible in many ways, among which the most interesting one is the possibility of hiring a private jet. As charter companies tend to offer their services at exceedingly high prices with unreliable timetables, it may be a good idea to rent your own plane: if you are a group of friends, the price will be similar and the schedule will be adapted to your needs.

Boat

The most pleasant way of approaching the Grenadines is by sailboat, if you are not in a hurry that is. Count a voyage of around 20 hours with departure from the Marin. Boat rental shops propose “one way” packages: a voyage from another island to the Grenadines by boat and the return trip by plane. Cruise ships may be an option to consider, as the structure of their packages allows visitors to discover the islands one by one.

The sea is often rough in the canals, especially between Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent, so be sure to take a professional skipper with you. The best bargain is to find a boat heading back to its rental place free from passengers, on board which you can find a cheap and pleasant way to access the island of your choice in exchange for a helping hand.

Day trips to the Grenadines
Day trips are also available to the Grenadines, proposed by the majority of Martinique’s travel agencies. Departure is around 8 am, and return to Martinique at 6 pm. Following a flight to Union, you will board a sailboat and navigate from island to island during the whole day, which allows a rapid insight into the most beautiful spots of the islands: Union, the famous Tobago Cays and the charming Palm Island. On arrival back to your point of departure, you will most probably feel an urge to return to and explore into greater depths the magnificent islands.
